pdf.xyz is browser-first: whenever a tool can run on your device, it does, and nothing is uploaded. A secure worker is only ever used for work the browser genuinely can't do — and only after it's clearly labeled.

What runs where
Runs entirely on your device with WebAssembly and browser APIs. Files are never uploaded.
Runs in your browser when it can, with an encrypted secure-worker fallback for large or complex files.
Runs on an encrypted, isolated worker that processes and then permanently deletes your files.
Runs on secure AI infrastructure. Your content is processed to answer your request and is never used to train models.
